Arsenal are through to their first Champions League final EVER! Lehman saved a penalty in the last two minutes of the game (that should never have been awarded in the first place but that's football for you!). See you at the final in Paris!! Right before my exams AAAAAARGH!!!! Come on the Gunners!

Venice photo albums now up!http://jodiebell.myphotoalbum.com/albums.php

It's little Freddie at the beach! Mmmmm, tasty stones....

Winchelsea Beach taken by Iain on a recent visit there with Cesca and Freddie. What a windswept, desolate, ruggedly beautiful place!

Aaaaaaaah Venice, a city for all the senses! Oars splashes in the quiet, narrow back canals, the shouts of 'Gondolagondola!', in the main tourist areas, rumbling diesel engines powering along the major canals, the angelic sound of a choir at midnight Easter mass in St Marks, a heaven of gold mosaic glittering above the sweet music, delicious aromas wafting from trattorias and osterias, the whiff of the upcoming summer canal stench in the peak of the midday sun, the rough ancient stone walls under your hand, the gentle rocking of a gondola gliding through sun drenched waterways, the tension in your legs as you brave the canal crossing standing up in a gondola with ten other people - Venetian style, the taste of squid cooked in its own ink, so tender you don't have to chew, the sweetness of a Bellini washing down the tiredness at the end of a day absorbed in this wondrous magnificent heart achingly beautiful city, with exquisite vistas at every turn. Venice, you have my heart.

Welcome to beautiful little Amelia Bell, Steph and Hamish's new daughter, born March 29. All are well and happy :) Congratulations!

Arthur with his new baby sister :)

Isn't this just gorgeous?!??

Mum took this stunning picture at Australind over her birthday weekend. Scooping for crabs at sunset, in the warm evening air, as the birds nearby settle themselves for the night.

Mum and Dad have a new toy! They figured it was about time they started seeing more of Australia, and upgraded their little previous van to this more comfy version. First planned tour is the South West at Easter - lovely!

Mum emailed some photos recently, including this cutie of Smudgehoolio caught napping on the fly! I miss my baby.

Spring is sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the birdies is? With thanks to Spike... Had the day off work today. Ostensibly to finish my stats report before we go to Venice next week, but also managed a trip this morning to the local equivalent of Hardware House. Found this little beauty at the back of the plants section, and just had to buy it. He's going to be boooooootiful when he starts flowering! Just spent an hour outside actually, potting him up as well as some coriander and a hosta. It's still a little cold for some of the more delicate plants I want to grow (i.e. basil) but at least spring is FINALLY HERE!

My attempt at a self portrait to show off one of my new pairs of glasses and my new hair cut/colour. It's a 'caramel' with blonde highlights, will try for a better photo when I can be bothered styling my hair! It's Sunday, day of no hair dryers!

New hair, new glasses, sunlight and no scarves, coats, gloves or hats! Spring is here!!
