Happy 5th birthday to Thomas...when did you get to be five years old?? We had such a life-affirmingly great day - it was hot (30 degrees) and the heat on my skin was indescribably wonderful, the boys were laughing and playing, and the sound of their innocent childish joy and focus on the moment was magical, the BBQ food was fantastic - coconuty prawns and salmon, spicy chicken, setting my taste buds alight, and the boys unselfishly allowing their Aunty Jodie to repeatedly haul them onto her lap for a cuddle and a kiss all afternoon settled my soul.
